Why EVERY Ref in Sports should be FIRED

Referees have been a major aspect in all of sports since being integrated in 1891. They were first introduced into Rugby when players could not agree on the rules, and later added into the NFL in 1938. The NBA didn’t include referees until 1946, and they have been added to basically every single professional sport since. It’s hard to imagine sporting events without them.
But would sports be better off without referees?
Why are Referees even here?
Referees keep professional sports clean and enforce the rules of the game. In the NFL, for example, they protect the quarterback and call unnecessary roughness and other fouls. In the NBA, they call shooting fouls, travels, and more. Referees would be great for the game, if humans were perfect.
The Problem with Referees
The problem with referees? Human's aren't perfect. Over the years, there has been hundreds of bad calls and scandals. The first referee scandal ever recorded was in 1951, when NBA referee Sol Levy was suspended for fixing the outcome of 6 games. He is believed to be later found dead with gunshot wounds. Another possible scandal was in 2007 when the FBI was investigating a referee who reportedly bet on several games he had officiated in. The issue with referees goes way beyond scandals, however. From missing obvious calls to ejecting undeserving players, most fans have probably raged at the television due to one. An example was in the 2019 NFL playoffs when the referees neglected to call an obvious pass interference against the Saints. The Saints went on to the lose the game and their season ended due to uncontrollable human error. Mistakes happen, but in a multi-billion dollar industry they should be erased if possible.

The Solution
So what can professional sports leagues do about this? The solution is simple- technology. It's 2023, and technology is the most advanced it's ever been and is rapidly improving every year. The average MLB team is worth 2 billion dollars while the average NFL team is worth 4.5 billion. The point- they have the money. Using artificial intelligence to referee these events offers far less room for error. The NFL spends 20-30 million on cameras, and these can be used along with additional artificial intelligence to ensure that the game is being played right. After all, it's called "professional" sports for a reason. With all the technology available across the globe, there's no reason for any league to still use human referees.
Artificial Intelligence
Artificial Intellifenge is the simulation of natural intelligence in machines that are programmed to learn and mimic the actions of humans. It is currently as popular as it has ever been, and is valued at around 200 billion dollars. Artificial Intelligence can do everything humans can do, but better. The answer is obvious. In a world with technology available everywhere you look, more needs to be implemented into professional sports. Within the next decade, artifice intelligence should replace every single referee. It will require a learning curve, but soon sports will be the most advanced they've ever been.
